Not givin' up the M&Ms ...

So, Nic was handing out candy Saturday night after he did a ton of trick-or-treating. We had a bowl with candy in it and we told him to grab a couple of handfuls (he has tiny hands) and drop them in the bags of trick-or-treaters. So far, so good.

The first couple of times it went as planned. But then, Nic paused. He let go of the candy in his right hand, but was holding onto the candy in his left hand. Ginger said, “Go ahead and put it in her [trick-or-treater] bag…” Nic looked at his hand. The trick-or-treater. Then at us. “No.” And he shook his head as if we asked him to eat vegetables.

It took a couple of minutes to figure it out but when we looked in his left hand, he was holding a bag of mini M&Ms - his favorite candy. He didn’t want to give away the M&Ms. We finally convinced him to let go, but only after we assured him that there were plenty of M&Ms left.

Gotta love kids!
